Lion Brewery Co is an independent beer company.
The original story begins in London in 1836, when the brewery was originally founded on the banks of the River Thames. For over a hundred years Lion Brewery Co was one of the trailblazers of IPAs and other high quality ales that were shipped across the seas to all parts of the globe, including Asia. It was demolished in 1949, and remained dormant for seventy years… until we brought Lion Brewery Co back to life.
Crafting beer for centuries
Fascinated by the brewery’s history of crafting great beer for centuries, we – friends with a passion for brewing – picked up the mantle in 2018.
From making beer in hot kitchens to producing and selling our premium products across the globe, we strive to brew beer enjoyed the world over, building upon the legacy of the original brewery.
With a sense of fun and adventure, we’ve captivated diverse audiences and cultures, bringing people together through better beer and taking them on a journey, disrupting the status quo of macro commercial beers.
Each beer we make is brewed with the same fierce pride — for where we’ve come from, and where we want to go.

The Beginning
Lion Brewery was built on
the banks of the River Thames. From here, during the birth of India Pale Ale, beer was shipped directly to trading posts around the globe.

The Resurrection
Lion Brewery Co was reborn in Singapore, the ‘Lion City’, with a mission to brew better beer.
2021
Singapore Brewpub
Lion Brewery Co launches its
flagship taproom and brewpub,
nestled in a heritage building in
the heart of Singapore’s CBD.

Britain’s then ruler, King George
VI, requested that the iconic lions be preserved forever. They remain steadfast, standing proud in London to this day.
