14 Ways to Get Craft Beer Delivery in Singapore

BRIAN SPENCER

Getting Singapore craft beer delivery has never been easier, a relief in these sci-fi times of “social distancing” and “contract tracing” and “self quarantine” and “Donald Trump.” That said, so many of the Lion City’s craft beer bars, breweries, and brewpubs are struggling at the moment, and we want to go on record as encouraging our healthy readers to get out of their flat and support them in person.

Singapore government-mandated safety guidelines are firmly in place at all open venues, and many of them are going above and beyond those measures to help limit any health risks. Bring hand sanitizer and alcohol wipes with you, wash your hands, don’t touch your face, and dutifully practice the social distancing thing—in all likelihood you’ll be fine, and your mental health just might improve, too.

If you can afford to do so, support your local(s). Many bars are offering discounted take-away service at the moment, too. Sixteen Ounces Craft Beer Bistro, for instance, offers a free first-time fill on purchases of their fancy double wall-insulated 36- and 64-ounce growlers ($70, $110). Heart of Darkness has beer bombers and six packs to go, and craft beer hawkers 3rd Culture Brewing Co will fill any sized growler. Druggists is selling 500ml tight-lid cups of draft beer that can be ordered in advance and picked up at the door.

Covid-19 blues or not, however, there are always times that call for home delivery, so we’ve rounded up the best Singapore craft beer delivery options, alphabetically, starting with those local breweries offering doorstep service. Because no matter where you drink it, we could all use a good beer right about now.

Lion Brewery Co: Originally founded in London in 1836 at a time when IPA became all the rage, Lion Brewery Co was resurrected two years ago with footprints in both London and Singapore. It launched with the easy-drinking Island Lager and Straits Pale Ale, and recently collaborated with London Beer Factory (the brewery behind The Barrel Project) on Singapore Nutmeg Stout, a 7.5% imperial stout brewed in London with handpicked Singaporean nutmeg and cacao nibs soaked in bourbon. All three beers are available on Lion’s shop. For the lager and pale ale, three packs start at $16.50, six packs at $28.50, and cases at just $75, while 20-liter kegs are $250. The stout is $9 per can and $79 for a 12 pack. It’s free next-day delivery for $90+ orders.
